City of millenarian cultural tradition, capital ot the Lombard kingdom, shows monumental traces of the period during which it was one of the most important cities of northern italy. Very important attractions are the towers, the Visconti Castle (now hosting a museum) , the Certosa, the university, one of the oldest in europe.
Casteggio.Between the hills of a morainic amphitheater, in a tipical wine area, the ancient Clastidium is today the center of the Oltrepo Pavese. With its local market, its periodic fair, its Wine Cellar and the many centers of the wine production, Casteggio is a cultural, gastronomical landmark for the entire region.
Salice Terme.
Famous thermal center because of its curative waters, it also offers a Golf Club and a Horse Center of national reputation.
